how demoralised the Turks have become. In a charge outside Damascus, one of my horses was shot in the eye & killed and I heard the bullets whistling all around. But I guess my luck will see me through. We drank of the waters of the Sea of Galilee, camped at Tiberius, crossed the Jordan and fought our way on to Damascus. Have not been in the city yet. Hope to. If you can find the address of Miss JPG Cox of - I think - Alma Road Ashfield you might convey to her my sympathy in the loss of her husband, Lt Cox of my squadron.
I will write to her when I can get his address & will try & send her his diary & papers. I hope you are not letting Mother or Jean be very anxious on my account. I will cable when I get a chance.
All my love to mother and the home folk
