Visited Amiens Sunday July 9th.   The King inspected the Division July12th at Heincourt  [Henencourt] The Boys gave a great  display & seemed pleased at what he saw   July 16th Visited Amiens again for the last time before going North again   spent the usual good day in there.   

July 17.   Started a Route March.   went to Corbie & the boys were in great form & marched really well bathed in the famous River Somme.   returned to our camp July 17th in good form   Left Senlis July 30   Marched to Avelay [Avilly] entrained there for North.   Arrived St Omer July 31st   Marched to Racquinghem stayed at our usual farm   Celebrated my 26th birthday on Aug 18th in the usual
