16th had to go on sick parade as I felt very queer I was placed in a warm place which was very much better than sleeping in stables on cobble stones left for Amiens on Dec 17th we were all afraid of the train Journey back & I took good care to get into a horse van where one could get a good sleep The Journey back was done at an amazing speed compared to the Journey coming over I got a bucket made a few holes in it got wood & coke & got a fine fire going & the Journey back was good. we had tea
