Motor busses & after a cold Journey we arrived at Vignacourt. Got lost & arrived at our billet a chateau at 12 midnight wet to the skin & fed up. Nov 8th got caught by the C.C. [Corps Commander] Pinching apples he made me ring leader & confuscated the apples result Officers Stewed apples for dinner us Bully Beef Slept in a fowls house here & its fairly comfortable place with plenty of straw for our bed we had our first fall of snow here Nov 22. Visited Amiens & had a good days enjoyment its a fine French town the biggest we have been in up till now. it
