A.D.S. May 14th & then reported back to the Main Dressing Station as they were shorthanded there left for Bapaume May 23. June 2nd another day in Amiens left Bapaume by train on Jun 16. Passed through A le Grand. detrained at Vaprennes [Varennes] Marched to Senlis a pretty little Village we took over a rest station on a hill overlooking the village only 6 kilos from Albert. Visited Amiens June 21st also Alley [Ailly] sur Somme & spent a pleasure day on the Banks of the Somme which was indeed very pretty. We almost know Amiens from end to end as we are given so much leave there. 5,000 Francs must be spent every day by the Australian
