hours which should have only taken six at the most we arrived at a rest camp & left again same evening for the boat three & a half miles from the camp & they marched very fast everybody was happy & singing. got aboard after a lot of pushing & shoving & there is a chance of getting Torpedoed   still we got over all right & reached Southampton 6.45 am then there is  a rush for the first train I got on the first & arrived at Waterloo Station 10.30 & left for Horseferry Rd in a taxi & arrived home about twelve thirty after a Journey I shall never forget went to Brighton
