<p>[Page 201]<br />This diary now reverts to January 1916 before Walsh embarked for Egypt. It appears to be a summary of each month.</p><p>January 1916<br />Spent last few days of camp life at the Warren Sydney Left on the R.M.S. &ldquo;Osterley&quot; on the 15th. Mother, Mona were on the warf to wave good bye, also Mr &amp; Mrs T. Sims, Miss Haywood and Miss Honey. Travelling on the sea calling at all ports en-route to Egypt. Saw the last of Australian land for a while as we left Freemantle.</p>
