The Plant grows also in Bengal and Ceylon.

Convolvulus turpelhum.  Linn.

This is the Plant which affords the Turpeth root used in Medicine
HermanD brought it from Ceylon and preserved it in the Leynden Garden, till the third year, when it died before it had flowered .
It grows naturally in Ceylon and Malabar and most luxuriantly in Guzaratt, where the Roots are produced, which are brought to Europe.

Menispermum cocculus. Linn.

The Fruit of this Plant is the cocculus indicus of the Shops.
It grows on the Malabar Coast, from whence it is imported .

Guilandina moringa. Linn.

The Wood of this Tree is the Lignum Nephriticum of the Shops.
It grows in Ceylon and Malabar.

24.

Croton tiglium.  Linn.

The Pavanna Wood and the Grana tiglia, or Molucca Grains are Drugs produced by this Plant.
It grows in Ceylon.
