90th - It will appear from what I have related of the Transactions of the 26th of January that McArthur and Bayly had the chief Consular Command at the Government House on the Evening: at the time of McArthurs liberation from Jail, he said in the hearing of Ryley the Jailer "now the last card is played." When he parted from the Government House and went to the Parade he enquired where was Mr Gore (the Provost Marshal) and on being told that he had been taken to his own house, he said, " send him to jail immediately" and it was done accordingly.
