The Dr. wanted to send me to Hospital, Glad I did not go Man in tent near by carried out this afternoon very bad others sick in the lines Visited Canteen again I with other Specialists picked PM for Piquet duty. Mount 5.30.</p><p>May 7 Sun Missed Mass again Piquet on water taps 2 hours on 4 off very hot day plenty to do at taps keeping men in their place. Had some tin fruit. And had dinner over in 30th Battalion lines with Jack Whitton very good dinner with beerah. Sent Papers home last week. Came off duty 5.30 P.M.</p>
