We are all getting boots and shortages as soon as available Leave for England starts soon only a few at a time</p><p>Sep 14 Thur Left Billet 8.30. A.M. with 7 others &amp; a N.C.O. started work at O.P. diging trench for cable 6 feet deep 2&rsquo; wide at top 6&quot; at bottom 32 of us working all together We did well. Back at 3.30 P.M. Went on Guard Raining. All paid to-night&nbsp;&pound; 1.8.0&nbsp;Had some mouth organ music in billet</p>
