Went for a walk with Gnr Ferrett to 114th Howitzer&#39;s plenty of shells about there only 800 yards from the trenches. Good shower of rain.</p><p>Aug 15 Tues Up at 6.a.m. Shave polished gear breakfast in parlor. Inspection at 9 A.M. by Mr Sheppard and the Major. cleaned up the billet and fixed old fence This is like a home everything we want. Went on 6 P.M. office orderly supplied with bike finished for the night 9 A.M. Went for some kerosene for the Major</p>
