[Page 127]
Aug 8 Tues and Aug 9 Wed Had a good sleep last night on loft in old Farm house. One man fell broke his skull and 3 ribs. We all fell in and marched off again about 2 miles to the D.A.C. Saw the O.C. and got transfered to the 14th Bgd 53rd Battery (Major Crespin O.C.) Walked on my own right up past the Heavy guns into the field gun lines. Shells flying overhead and anti air craft guns firing at aeroplanes. Slept well last night. Am attached to D. sub. Two other 14/1 boys with me "Shar" looks well and has been doing some good work I did a little cleaning up to-day. Good living and very little to do.
