<p>[Page 212]<br />December 1916<br />Used to the awfull sights, and continuous shelling Have had a number of narrow escapes and some thrilling adventures Went out just in time for Xmas. day to Naours near Amiens behind the lines. Saw Snow lying heavily on the ground for first time. I am limber Gunner now and have had a good share of work on the gun on it all the time in fact Second layer for the Sub. (Stripe next)</p>
