Two raiding parties were picked out of the Brigade & on the 3rd & 4th March the raids went over the first nights raid was a success but the second was a failure It was here on the second nights raid that we lost Capt Brodie. After ten days holding the line at Warneton we were relieved by the 6th Brigade We came out on the night of the 7th March stayed one night at Romarin Camp & next morning we marched to Steenwerck & put in a train that took us to Desvres We marched from Desvres) out to Le-Waast a distance of about 8 kilos. We had a good lot of football here
