rock which stands a great height A Flag pole that was at the very top of it seemed like a pin to us who saw it from the boat. We were told that there were just on two thousand guns of all sizes in the forts We knew after leaving Gibraltar that we were bound for England & everyone was happy at the thoughts of seeing England We eventually arrived at Plymouth on 23rd June & disembarked & entrained for Salisbury Plains We had a very nice trip in the train through what is reckoned to be one of the prettiest parts of England We stopped at Exeter where the Mayoress & other ladies of Exeter had tea with buns & cake waiting for us.
