the news of Anne.   You might be wondering what sort of a reply that was but you will guess that it was despatched before yours had reached me.

In one of her later letters Anne had said to hurry up and get my majority as she wanted a major in the family.   And she just missed getting the news.   I was very pleased - especially for her sake when I heard of the majority - and now Ive no zest for anything
