Just a line. I'm fit as a fiddle. The country round here is covered with red poppies and wild margerites and lilacs, cornflowers buttercups and pink clover. Looks lovely You'd love it.
Its very interesting all round here but goodbye to the old idea of the noble Bedoin arab. There seems no sign of their thousand years occupation of the country but a few mud hovels. We do see signs of occupation of the Romans in the stately old wells. Tthe Roman was a great builder of roads and wells round here but the Bedoin is a poor shiftless dirty creature. Saw three Bedoin huts yesterday. Came to our camp selling oranges. Their names were
