the fighting on the other side of the Jordan only a portion of my company being right up at Amman. The 1st Light Horse Brigade did splendidly (General Cox) in the by counter attack of the Turks on the Jordan & the 5th Light Horse Regiment did fine work in the third battle over east.   I hear that General Ryrie is ill.   Have not seen him for a long time though our battalion and his Brigade have been very close together several times.
