Painting at Dee Why. Home for 4 pm. I dress for dance and find I've no dinner jacket. I go in Navy. Have a splendid time a very grand evening. I meet a pretty school girl when all the lights are out and we dance together all the time. I first taste of claret cup. Mrs Williams delivers a splendid speech. Waves very high over the wall at the Corso and at the end of our Dee Why street.
