of bringing this diary up to date for over a week we had no tents and had to sleep on the desert and of course it wasn't cold neither does it rain in Egypt but the chap who made that assertur was a beautiful liar for it rained solid for 3 day and we all got nice and wet the tucker too was and still is very scarce we got tea and if very lucky dry bread for breakfast the same thing for dinner and meat or tea
she started off with 3 parades a day and has since lengthened into four
this drilling and playing at soldiers gets right on my nerves and when I get paid Im putting out for a spell in town
