Paper & Parcel mail. Sheepskin vest from home. Changed relief now on 12 to 6. Mild.
Dec. 8th Wednesday
Weather rather cloudy but mild. Remainder of 3rd run arrived also many returned sick.
Dec. 9th Thursday
Weather dull & mild. Day off, spent in gully. Rally 9-30.
Dec. 10th Friday
Weather Fair. Sgts day off. Naval bombardment afternoon on Road Mados [Maidos].
Dec. 11 Saturday
Weather still dull. Nothing startling till 13th. 14th. strong ideas of evacuation were expressed & 14th orders were issued at midday.
