Burial Service 7am. Drill as usual mainly lecture by Commander. Hot morning, cooler afternoon, stiff breeze night. Mending afternoon to reading & sleep, no land in sight.
June 9th N.N.W. 317M.
Usual daily routine, land very indistinct outline. Hot am., much cooler pm., considerably cooler all day. Reading morning till 9am., also evening. Ship getting her windlasses set for unloading fore & aft.
