16th Tuesday
Weather very bright & hot. Naval Guns directed toward Beachy Bill with heavy shells during afternoon.

27th Wednesday
Sky clouded at times but very windy. Combined Naval & Artillery bombardment all along line for about 1 hour midday.

28th Thursday
Weather Bright & hot. Fairly quiet along front. Evening commenced early with bomb throwing & kept up very furiously all night. 390 Bombs in all used on whole Post during the night. Small English Mail.
