Drawn from a country where there really is freedom of action & equality – They have been for 2 years denied freedom of speech and have had many petty grievances which 'rankle' & seen much hypocrisy. They have in fact the feeling in war time that Kipling writes of in peace time in his poem which includes the line "We serve no redcoats here"
