There is a certain amount of relief when one hears him get rid of his bombs. – We have been lucky he seems to have peppered the surrounding villages but we have escaped his attention so far.

Sept 3/17.
Another visit from the Taubes last night in the surrounding neighbourhood

Heard The Company up at Dickebush has had its first fatal casualty in France. Hogan of the supply being killed by a bomb & two of Drivers wounded (Seymour & Turnbull) S. is away at present on a months rest!
