Aug 1st 1918
I won a fight at the National Sporting Club last night against an American named Wills.
Aug 14 1918
Have had three more fights in London & won them. I am on draft once more & am a cert to go this time.
Sept 14th 1918
We left Brightlingsea by the 5.30 train tonight. Everyone without an exception was drunk. We left London Bridge Station at 3 am for Folkestone.
Sept 15th 1918
We have arrived at Boulogne & had an air raid the first night.
