Left village again at 7.30 am. Road branched to left into the hills which we crossed in one long trek (over 20 miles today). Kind of plateau on top of hills miles wide. Uninteresting scenery. Cocky farmers tilling the ground on top of hills.

Went right on to NEBKH. [Al Nabk] Bigger village than Jenin. Halted at 4.30 pm. Met a couple of women speaking English. Good weather so far. Watered at Orontes river. Huge ranges on left some peaks 10,000 ft high according to maps.
