past quaint ly thatched-roofed cottages with ivy or the beautiful Virginia vine clambering all over them. Clematis and fuschias grew in profusion in all the little patches of gardens. Here and there a velvety green paddock with sheep nibbling the short grass. Anon we pass a field in which bewhiskered old sports are tossing hay at each other and building very neat hay stacks. After a large supper we went for a motor drive out to Corfe Castle a distance of about 7 miles. The evening air was delicious. We drove along the high road all the way
