Herissart 16/7/17
Today we marched from our billets in Herissart Beassart to this village. Once again I find myself in a very comfortable billet. The town is a fairly big one and has the appearance of being at one time a b very prosperous place. Todays paper states that Bethman-Holwegg has been emptied out of his position by the Kaiser who has replaced him with one of his personal friends. The Russians have stopped as suddenly as they began and war news is at a premium not even an air-raid on London.
