with the Messines stunt is out today. Six medals were given for the Ambulance (two for each section) but two could not be selected from the C Sections bunch so the decorations were divided between the other two sections. The following men each received an M.M.

To night a couple of us took a trip to Tankville & saw there about 40 of latest pattern Tanks. The height of them is very deceiving as they are only about 7 or 8 ft long and do not have the hind steering wheel that we have previously seen. About 8 Fritz planes came across & had a good observation.

Twelve months since Somme hop over. Drill day but marked by increased artillery activity in our section and seemed to be a large majority of our 'heavies' pounding Fritz. Ossy Wood in hospital with gall trouble. 11th Field Amb are losing number of men recently 6 have come
