Friday 21st
Still frozen hard.
Saturday 22nd
Concert by No 1 ACCS party.
Sunday 23rd
Concert by Anzac Coves Concert Party.
Monday 24th
(Xmas Eve) Snowing & typically mild for this time of year. Sat up late & completed costume with Dick Gates. Not feeling at all well.
Tuesday (Xmas Day) Did not feel at all well when I awoke – slight attack of influenza or the like. So remained in bed all the morning. It was snowing hard all the morning and when I made an appearance about noon the ground was covered by about 6" inches of it with prospects of more to come. Then followed a rather scrumptious dinner. Soup ham cold meat vegetables inc potatoes brussel sprouts baked potatoes seasoning cabbage etc. turkey with sauce custard jelly pudding fruit (tinned & fresh) brandy sauce nuts cigarettes ale & other things. I missed a few courses but did well.
Went to bed again after dinner & arose near tea time but didi not have any tea & still felt off color. As we were to have a Fancy Dress Show at
