We want spiritual comfort here very much, and that from the lips of the pastor too.  But it seems we are denied this of late, and have only our Bibles to speak to us instead.  I could wish the clergymen of this city were not so [?] in their duty towards creatures such as we, but it is the case of late I assume your not, will not forsake us  -   He is ever present to help us, yet, when all forsakes us He does not.  A paid clergyman would surely attend and I guess Government would place his salary on the estimates [?], and [?] him paid for his trouble and his time.  Some such person is sorely wanting [?} and it is strange in an English Colony peopled by Englishmen, all Churchgoers [?] of course that such is not the case.  Where are our Missionaries, or what are they doing.  I cant even give an obvious hint.  The
