keenly felt. My Sister - Charlotte and two nieces left for Port Fairy only in February so that Ann was, and still is alone, indeed at the time of My Mother's illness, I was on the Jury at the Goulburn Circuit Court and, on my return home, found her very ill, she survived only a week; indeed, towards the close, the spark of like appears to have become very rapidly extinct and she expired with but little pain. I receive your invitation in the kindly & sincere spirit in which it is meant, and, altho [although] at present my Sister persists in not staying from home, we may devise both pleasure and consolation, in spending a day or two with you and your good lady in our journey to Sydney, without any ceremony - Ann desires her kind regards to Mrs. Hassall and yourself
