he takes all pains to finish the demi Sol but reminds B that when he was in England it was agreed that he should deliver it in April & at the same time he should return to England, he speaks of having recd a note from Mr. Garbet on the subject.

Says he has laid aside all other business for forwarding the demi Sol asks earnestly what is to be the exact weight of the piece askd for an advance of £50.

acknowledges the receipt of £50 & of various materials for coinage says that after he has finishd the demi Sol he will make a compleat medal for the execution coinage of the demi Sols.

no doubt the perfect success in the demi Sol if time enough is allowd for cutting the die has had an inflammation in his eyes & been obligd to keep his bed one day & miss his work he will lose no time to send impressions before the edge work is done he works upon a machine for making the mark on the edge of his Sols he will make such a coin as never had existed if time is allowd him.

Speaks again of the inflammation in his eyes we are to give by our Sols a model of money to all Europe talks of bringing the screw of his balancier to England is extremely impatient that maey of his coinage should be in circulation with a good balancer has no doubt of coining 20 to 30 thousand pieces a day.

his eyes better but cannot work by lamplight is doing his best to finish the balancer which he means to bring to England that is the male & female screw & the apparatus for striking on the edge its 2 faces with the same blow.
