but how that money could be expended, does not appear:  the Ponds & Fountains indeed & lined with white Marble, & the walks are every where stuck full of Statues, & Busts, of that Material.

The House indeed is elegant;  many of the Rooms are very magnificent, tho' an English man is rather disgusted at their being paved with Brick:  the Furniture consists of Silk hangings, & French Tapistry;  with a large number of Looking Glasses, which are much esteemed here.  The State Room painted al Fresco, & on each side of it a row of very large China
