November 191618th We had a light fall of snow early this morning, (This is the first snow I have seen) & a very cold wind has been blowing all day. About 9 a.m. it started to rain & has b continued until about 3 P.M. Combined with the wind it has made things very miserable.I am still putting the culvert in the drain but progress has been slow. We have seen no aeroplanes up to-day & although our artillery has been bombarding incessantly, Fritz has not troubled us.19th After heavy rain last night the mud is just as bad as ever if not worse.
