to Doctor Fleming that his Lordship is highly Satisfyed with my conduct during my Mission to the Eastward.

     The enclosed copys of the letters of Credit on the Governors of Prince Wales Island & Amboyna, will also show, that his Lordship is satisfyed with my last disbursement, and that his Lordship has not limited me to any particular sum of money at this time.

     I have not yet been able to learn what it is that the distillers of Kajupoetie adulterate that Oil with; but of this I am certain, that there is not a drop of this Oil sold at the Moluccas that is not mixed.

   I have sent you Sir, one quart Bottle full of this Oil from Amboyna, by Captn. Bond of the Walmer Castle in Febr'y 1797. and one ditto. by Captain Studd of the Taunton Castle in August following, under the denomination of genuine; -  but I was mistaken, for they were adulterated like all the rest that is bought there
