In short we captured 400 & I think killed the rest at the cost of about 40 men in the actual scrap though we lost many more in the subsequent shelling. The Turks brought up two 59s & shelled the horses killing over 100 in one day.
The Australian Division is now taking over the 1st Brigade which back the day before yesterday the NZs go back tonight & we-el Hamed lillah – go back straight through to Jerusalem tomorrow night.
