Mac goes to Ras el Tin. 33 men come from Sydney Pav. I have jelly & cocoa in No. 8 & play Bridge. B. & D. go on leaf. Get letters from Home, George, Bess, Marg., Jess, Julie & Mem.
Tuesday 25 July 1916
Full Dress Inspection. Molly picks her Boy. I ride to Abbassia & call at McCougi's. Dinner & go to Cairo. Meet Roley Hale & play Billiards. Met McCougi & go to Pictures with Maltese Dames.
Wednesday 26 July 1916
Went to see Dick Rowe at Pyramids Bar. Ellis & I, we talk with two Pommys & listen to Gippo songs on Phonograph.
Thursday 27 July 1916
Wrote to Jess, Julie & Mem. Ellis & I go to Cairo, meet Cougi & ride back to Heliopolis Hotel with Maltese Lady. It is very nice.
Friday 28 July 1916
I go to Cairo for my Photos. Meet Kinna & Ice Cream, Lemonade & Peanuts. Wrote to Bess, Marg., Lily, Mum (58).
