[Printed letterhead – Military Forces of the Commonwealth
District Head Quarters, Sydney]
5th June 1916

Dear Mr Justice Ferguson,
Your letter came duly to hand. Mrs Blanchard's letter was posted on, immediately to "Ericville" Oakville Road, Willoughby
which is her new address. I hear on pretty good authority that the 3rd Division has been 'pulled up' by wireless and sent via the Cape. The Field Artillery are already at Durban and all are, I understand, to proceed to Liverpool, England, for training, replacing a Division of Englishmen ready for transfer to France. So I think the boys will have a more comfortable time than if they had gone to Egypt at this season. I heard from the "Cyclists"
