During the day, no active operations were asked of this Division, the reorganisation of the Battalions being completed and the consolidation of the captured ground being proceeded with.
Patrols reconnoitred the outskirts of LE CATELET and GOUY and found the enemy entrenched in both places.
On th Night of 2nd/3rd October, the Division was relieved in the forward area by the 50th British Division.
The Brigade groups, less artillery, returned to those concentration areas that they occupied prior to their moving to attack on 29th September.
