I should be sorry to miss seeing Damascus which I hear fell on the 3rd Oct. yielding 7000 prisoners which must be just about all now. I don't see what is to stop them going right ahead until Turkey throughs throws it in.

Still here & from all accounts & appearances likely to remain here for some two or three weeks.
We have moved camp up to the station about a mile east of Ammon.
This is an awful place. It has been the Turkish camp, there are several dead turks buried – or I should say covered
