Will keep things going on a little. Palmer came down & had a hand. Had cocoa & milk for supper.</p><p>14.12.18.<br/>Brekker in bed again. Am some expert at this now. Went over to Catillon in the afternoon & saw our beaten team play a Tommy team (Motor Transport & Tunnellers) at Soccer. We won 3 to 1. it was a good game. At last I've got a couple of letters. Played cards & then answered them.</p><p>15.12.18<br/>Rained in the morning. Had a parade & then an officers meeting at the transport lines was about educational & sports. No 8 played rest of the company at Australian rules & beat them easily notwithstanding that only Holmes & I knew anything about the game. Gray & his brother played anywhere.</p><p>16.12.18.<br/>No church parade today. Had a full marching order parade to get ready for our march. Sent Xmas cards away.</p><p>17.12.18<br/>Three of us (Mac Scriv & i) had brekker in bed. Did nothing all day 'cept play cards. The Major came round to see us so we asked him to tea. Went into the mess & found we hadn't anything to eat or drink. Gee it was funny. I laughed some & had to apologize to the Major for the state of the mess. After this we went back home. He went back to his own mess for tea. About half an hour after two parcels arrived, one each for Mac & Scriv. Needless to say we ate some. Managed to get 15 letters when the mail came.</p><p>18.12.18<br/>Reveille 6.30 am. Scriv got up grumpy & when getting his towel broke the lamp glass.</p>
