Rained in the morning & was nice & sunny in the afternoon. Went for a stroll with Scriv. & then came back to Mac & played cards.</p><p>10.12.18<br/>Both Scriv & I had brekker in bed. Brown came down & we had the graph going till 11 am when we got up. Beastly wet again. Played cards & read all day & evening.</p><p>12.12.18<br/>Work today so got up for brekker. Had to bring in some shells. Heavy rain all day. Went to HQ. had a hair cut & then up to the canteen. Couldn't get anything cos they don't get any stock till 6.30 or thereabouts. Gee this ground is absolutely soaking. Jus tas well the 'froggies' wear clogs. Our boots get wet thro. every day.</p><p>Just finished playing bridge. Had Palmer down & Mac & I beat Scriv & he. Mac finished up by getting it over in no trumps. Palmer & Scriv called 2 hearts & Mac called two no trumps & didn't hold a heart in his hand. Gee it's a scream.</p><p>13.12.18<br/>Bit cloudy today but very little rain. Had a meeting for games etc for the coy. when we get to Hestrud. Played cards in the afternoon. Gee this life is monotonous. Wish we could visit some decent places & take some interest in things. As it is</p>
