Tuesday, 13 May 1919
Colombo, morning dawned wet.  We are to have leave.  Left ship 10 am.  Very showery.  Went for car tour round Colombo, also to Mt Lavinia.  Did some purchasing.  Went back to ship 6 pm.  Rained during night.  Very muggy.  Officers & nurses stopped ashore.

Wednesday, 14 May
Off [officers] & Sisters again on leave all day till 6 pm.  Other ranks not allowed ashore.  Coaling & watering all day.  Tp. McKay not allowed ashore to see his sister so she came aboard.  Guard & picket who were on duty yesterday & promised leave today not allowed ashore.  Everyone dissatisfied with unfair treatment of officers in charge of us.
Left Colombo 10.30 pm.
