Lunch at rest camp at 10.30 of awful stew badly cooked.  Had roll calls five times before leaving camp, another one at the jetty.  Boarded lighter at 12, got aboard about 1 & moved out at 2.10 pm.  Previous impressions realised.  She is very poorly fitted up & staff inefficient.  Cooks had to be found from the invalids.  Cooks Galley empty - no pots pans ladles or utensils of any kind.  Officers in saloon as expected.  6 pm & no meal, everyone famishing.  Tea arrived at 9 pm.  Dry bread & cheese.  Cook had trouble to even get dry tea . Repatriation men coming aboard Kantana [possibly Katana].  Bully & Biscuits sighted.
