go out, and around the town. so Two mates and I went out together had a few drinks. at the various Estaminents [estaminets] (Hotels) which are very numerous on account of so many soldiers knocking about we were out for about four hours, pouring rain all the while we never minded, for everything was interesting. So gets back to Billets, goes upstairs and after stepping over all the rest of the boys who had turned in (on the floor) we soon got down ourselves though we were very wet, and at about Two oclock in the morning was all awakened. to get our gas Helmets in Readiness which we allways carry with us. in case
