another Town about four Mile away named 'Poperinghe'. we left at 1-30 p m amd arrived there at 3 pm an hour and a half on the March. Poperinghe is a very large town. The Belgian people here can talk very good English. this place has not been shelled so much as other places where we have been billeted. though most of the large building and houses have been deserted, and occupied by Soldiers. We are billeted in a large building, four story High all the windows broken and the place all knocked about. It is situated in one of the main streets which are very narrow.
