and away from all sounds of guns etc and arrived at a village named " Code-Waersuel" at 5.30, and everything in readiness again for a march, all horses and transports off the train, we moved off once more on a seven mile march through some villages, and into Belguim, and finally arriving at a rest camp at a place called Reninghelst In Ypres. Its a large township and plenty of soldiers about, all Kinds as well as civilians. We were dogged tired for we carried our packs including a blanket overcoat etc and arrived about 9 pm same evening Sat 26/8/16. and occupied huts, which we found very dirty, previously occupied by Canadians. next day Sunday had a general clean up, burnt up all the papers, jam tins, old clothing etc.
